Actually, the whole band reminds one of Rod Stewart when he was young. More specifically, when he was young and in such outfits as The Jeff Beck Group and, more specifically, The Faces. The Faces, whose raucous live shows, evident love of performing and loose playing style have often been cited as one of the influences and precursors of The Hold Steady.
